Dr. Bai has spent her younger years in the East Coast. She grew up in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, graduated from Wellesley College receiving her B.S. degree in Biology, and completed her education from SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse, where she earned her M.D.
Dr. Bai completed her Ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent Medical Center in New York City. Following her residency, she completed her Fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery under the world renown ophthalmologist, Dr. Eric Donnenfeld. In 2000, Dr. Bai moved to Chicago with various opportunities, before opening her private practice in 2004. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Illinois Association of Ophthalmology, and Chicago Ophthalmologic Soceity.
Dr. Bai, who is fluent in both English and Korean, welcomes all patients to her practice where patient care is the main objective. Her philosophy of patient service along with the knowledgeable staff creates a pleasant environment for eye care.
Dr. Bai and her husband are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Isabel and Abigail. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf, following baseball, and playing the piano. Dr. Bai is also an accomplished fencer. She was the captain of the fencing team at Wellesley College, where she was nationally ranked.
